Serenity By The Sea - Beach House

Wonderful place to stay. Unfortunately, Hurricane Helene hurried us out 2 days early with a mandatory evacuation order. We want to come back in the spring . We are praying Treasure Island is restored quickly for the full time islanders and the travelers to come back. Resort rentals was very responsive and easy to communicate with . The home was huge and right on the ocean . The only items in need of repair were the electronic door lock to the main door and a few of the plumbing fixtures. Everything else was perfect. Thank you Resort Rentals for making this a lovely home to visit .

We truly enjoyed ourselves on our family vacation. The beach was literally in the backyard of the townhouse. The pool was clean. The only problem I encountered was some of the steps inside of the home. Definitely not toddler proof. But overall I give this home 5 stars! The views were incredible!!

This house was great! The proximity to the beach was incredible, everything was super clean, the pool was awesome and Resort Rentals was super communicative so we didn't have to ask any questions. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. The inside was a little worn (a few scuffs on the walls, older carpet) but it was clean and we were outside all week anyway. Would definitely stay here again!

We enjoyed our weeks stay. We would welcome staying again because of the location and the view.. The unit itself was outdated.. needs new king mattress and pillows and window blinds, among other things. The outdoor deck railings need replacing. Upon arriving, found a dead rat in the middle of the garage. In the kitchen, a live palmetto bug and tiny ants.

We had a great time over a holiday weekend staying at the house. Lots of fun activities including the swimming pool, beach, boating, shopping. The house was unique and had a lot of fun island features. Workable kitchen. Washer and dryer didn’t work well. Bathrooms were clean and acceptable. If you have problems going up or down stairs this will be a challenging stay, all bedrooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors and both full bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. Had a great 3rd floor loft with a very of the beach. They have more amenities than they list including a crib, beach towels, baby gates, high chair, beach chairs. We brought a lot of things we didn’t have to because it wasn’t listed and the host was slow to respond. This is a town house so the pool is shared with the attached unit. We had great neighbors but it could play out differently. Two great beach bar restaurants in walking distance. Overall a great stay, would definitely go back!

We had a wonderful time. You simply can't beat the location and access to a pool ON the beach. The house decor is very dated, but it's clean and cozy. The view from the master bedroom is priceless! If you want a renovated, open plan, fancy beach house, this isn't that, but it is perfect for an awesome, affordable beach vacation. We loved it!

This location is AMAZING!!!! You’re literally 10 feet from the edge of the ocean. The beach is beyond perfect and there was a great sandbar full of shells and seal life!! The house has tons of fun beach and pool toys and the kitchen has everything you’d need to actually cook a meal. The style of the house is mid-90s beachy-casual but to be honest with kids it’s way better than sleek new furniture.

Loved the location. Not too touristy. Beach not too busy. If you get some chairs from the garage and put them out early, others will put theirs elsewhere and maintain your view of the beach. Be careful at the top of the spiral stairs as the sub-floor is caving in. Other than that - great stay.

The place was as described. The layout is a little awkward, but unique and cool as well. You cannot beat the 40 yards walk to the beach. We caught a lot of fish from the surf and made blackened fish tacos using the BBQ grill provided. I would stay again for sure.

You will not find a beach house with a better location than this one. Sunset Beach is a beautiful, quiet strip of beach. It is conveniently located just a 5 minute walk down the beach from restaurants and bars. The house itself has a few quirks. The downstairs has a great open flow of kitchen, dining, and living space. The views from inside the house out to the beach are amazing! The non-working stove discussed in other reviews has been replaced. The two upper floors are definitely unique. There is no privacy for two of the three bedrooms. You must walk through them to get to the third floor spaces. The only bedroom that has a door and privacy is the queen bedroom on the second floor. But it has no window and is a dark cave. The house is a townhouse and shares the pool and patio space with the unit next door. We unfortunately had a family that brought 6 college age kids with the next to us during Spring Break week. They trashed the beach and pool area daily. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and the location of this home on Sunset Beach, it really is a great spot!! Sorry if you had any troubles with the doors. There is a way to adjust this and don't hesitate for a second to give us a call if we can help! That being said, the owners are doing updates to the home and in the next phase of updates one of the items will be to add a window in that other room so many of the items you have listed will be updated. Sorry to hear you did not have the best neighbors! This time of the year does prove to be a busy time, however, not being respectful to your neighbors and the beach just is not acceptable! If you should experience anything like that during your next visit please let us know and we would be happy to help. So glad you enjoyed your time on Sunset Beach and we hope to see you back for another visit soon! :-)

The location made this vacation everything we expected! We had small children and the trek to the beach and back was a delight and able to be done all day, every day! It took most of the work out of traveling to the beach with children, which is exactly what we were looking for. Would highly recommend!

I searched long and hard for the right place. Beach steps away and pool access. We got both. We were in the pool and the beach close to a dozen times per day because both so close. Three floors. Living area, second floor with main bedrooms and a quiet couch area. Third floor with twin beds (kids loved it) and an entertainment area. Everything works, beds and pillows are comfy, clean and as represented. Is it the nicest looking home on the block? No, but it is still perfect. Furniture needs a tiny upgrade but it didn't bother us. Wifi access and both owners and management are quick with their replies. We'll definitely be back. Thank you for sharing your home with us!
